The Regimen: Step-by-Step Skincare Routine for Healthy, Glowing Skin

The Regimen: Step-by-Step Skincare Routine for Healthy, Glowing Skin

Skincare should be simple but never basic. There’s an art to it. The products and their quality matter, sure—but the real magic happens in your regimen and consistency. You made an intentional purchase with us, and we’re here to make sure it pays off. It wouldn’t be very UNFLTRD of us to hand you incredible products without showing you exactly how to use them. So here it is—your quick, no-fluff step-by-step guide to getting the absolute most out of your [Skn]vestment.

Sknvestment noun

skin-vest-ment

a: a term for the act of investing time, money, and effort into a skincare routine for the long-term health and appearance of one's skin. It is a commitment to self-care and a way to achieve healthier, glowing skin by using appropriate products and treatments, rather than seeking quick fixes.

Step 1: Buff Before You Cleanse

Before reaching for your cleanser, prep your skin like a pro. Gentle exfoliation removes dull, dead cells and helps your products penetrate more effectively.

Using our Smooth Operator Glove, gently buff your face, neck, and décolletage in small circular motions. Think of it like sanding a wooden chest—you’re smoothing, not scratching. The goal is to slough off buildup without irritating the skin.

You might notice a bit of warmth or flushing (totally normal). That’s your circulation kicking in—similar to dry brushing.

Step 2: Cleanse for 60 Seconds

Clean hands = happy skin. Start by washing your hands to remove bacteria, then apply a dime-sized amount of cleanser to damp palms.

Massage it into your face and neck for a full 60 seconds—yes, set a timer if you must. This allows the cleanser to actually work, breaking down oil and grime while improving texture and tone.

Step 3: Mask Up, Buttercup

On masque days, your skin is primed for deep treatment—whether you’re hydrating, detoxing, or refining texture.

Apply your mask evenly over the face and neck after cleansing (or post-steam for a spa moment). Use circular motions and press gently to encourage absorption. Leave it on for 15–20 minutes, rinse thoroughly, then move on to your serums or moisturizer.

Step 4: Tone + Hydrate

Spritz or saturate a cotton pad with your toner (4–5 pumps should do it) and press it into your face and neck. Let it absorb for 1–2 minutes. This step helps balance your skin’s pH and preps it for your next layer.

Step 5: Treat (Optional, But Highly Recommended)

If you’re using a serum or treatment, apply it to slightly damp skin by gently patting and pressing—no rubbing! Give each layer 1–2 minutes to fully absorb before applying the next. Use this time to brush your teeth or scroll a little; multitasking never looked this good.

Step 6: Moisturize Like You Mean It

Once your serums have settled, lock everything in with your moisturizer. Apply using small circular motions until absorbed, giving your skin another minute or two to soak up all that goodness.

Step 7: Protect That Glow (SPF)

SPF isn’t optional—it’s essential. During the day, always apply a generous amount of sunscreen after your moisturizer. Make sure your moisturizer has fully absorbed first to avoid diluting your SPF’s power.

Use enough to cover your face and neck, applying in circular motions. No time in the morning? Toss your SPF in your bag and reapply throughout the day—it’s called skin insurance.

  • [Optional] Night: Apply oil based serums to your desire.

(P.S. SPF is for daytime only. At night, your skin needs recovery.)
